April 2020 General Membership Meeting & Agenda

Tuesday, April 21st 2020 @ 6:30 PM (3rd Tuesday of the month)

As you are reading this Meeting Notice, the Covid-19 Virus Isolation protocols remain in place impacting the normal practice of a group meeting at our favorite meeting location.

Great News However! ..... The MARCA meeting is still scheduled.

So, dust off your UHF/VHF and 900 radios, the meeting will be an old fashioned Net. Yep, On the Air. Are you prepared? Does your radio work? Do you have an Antenna that works? Do you know what Repeater???? Can you set  (or program a frequency in memory) the the repeater frequency Is your radio? Do you remember How (or ever) to particpate in a Net?

Test your Skills and Systems with the General Dynamics (Hayden) and the South Mountain repeaters. Dave, n7zpy, will be monitoring [scanning} repeaters for activity. Give it a try, in fact, give all our repeaters a call.

Dave, n7zpy, hold a Voice Net using South Mtn Wednesday at either 18:30 or 20:00 hrs MST, not to conflict with the Weather Net. Expect updates to this as the date approaches.

VE Testing Session is actually Cancelled for April. At this time, VE Testing will remain scheduled for May.

Presentation: TBD

(Tentitive) Meeting location: [or South Mountain Repeaters 440 & 900 Mhz]

Denny's Tempe
825 S 48th Street
Tempe, Arizona 85281

Located on the South East section of University Dr and 48th Street.
Access is only from 48th Street, NOT the Hohokam Freeway (AZ 143). South bound 48th Street is just EAST of the Hohokam Fwy (exit and entrance intersections) on South side of University. Driving south bound on 48th Street, the parking entrance is the first LEFT; or if North bound on 48th St from Broadway Rd, the last RIGHT before University Dr.
Plenty of lighted parking.

Meeting [or Voice Net Check-In] start at 6:30 pm ; typically 2 hours in duration.

Meetings are open to anyone interested in Amateur Radio, any particular presentation of interest, MARCA Members of course, any any friends and family. There's alway opprotunity to open a discussion topic on just about any thing related to amateur radio or just plain ol chit chat about the weather.

Come early, socialize, and have a bite to eat.

Meeting Agenda (Always a work in progress): continually updated as the meeting approaches. To include a topic for the agenda, or input to a topic, contact  Dave Hall, n7zpy, President, or Norm Johnson, aa7oo, Vice President.
